The Alabama Wheelmen's Taco Mama Time Trial will be held on Feb. 6, 2016, near Huntsville, AL.  The course is a 10-mile circuit with most categories doing two laps for a distance of 20 miles.  The 2015 race attracted 116 competitors and was the season opener for the TBRA series.  The 2016 event welcomes a new sponsor, the Taco Mama Mexican Restaurant, who will host packet pickup on Friday night, Feb. 5, in down- town Huntsville.  There is a block of discounted rooms at the adjacent Homewood Suites:  registrants will be sent a link with which to reserve a room.  The early-bird discounted entry fee is only $15, through Jan. 4, after which the fee increases to $25.  The entry fee for juniors is $0, and there are 3 age brackets for both junior men and junior women.  New this year is the Women's Masters 60+ category.  Please consider starting your season in Alabama this year and help Alabama Wheelmen foster more bicycle competitions for our area.
