Second Sunday Ride – Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights Bike Night

Adventurous cyclists,

Our November ride is Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights Bike Night, November 13.

From Callaway Gardens' web site:
Eight million lights. 15 dazzling scenes. One magical night. Fantasy In Lights is not only the South’s most spectacular holiday light and sound show, it is one of the world’s “Top 10 Places to See Holiday Lights” as named by National Geographic Traveler. Experience the magic in an exciting new way this year on Sun, Nov. 13, our Fantasy In Lights® Bicycle Night.

This ride began as an under-the-radar Second Sunday Ride. Now it’s an official event, drawing over 750 riders. No cars, just cyclists.

To register on-line, go to the Bike Night web page. Or call 1.800.852.3810. You can also do a walk-up registration when you arrive.

When you register you will select a riding time. Pick what you like. They don't usually hold you to the exact time, so when you're ready to ride, show up. They will release cyclists in staggered groups to keep congestion down and enjoyment up. Start times will be added as others fill up.

Your registration includes admission to the Gardens, so go early and enjoy them. Some of us will go early to explore the Gardens by bike during the day. Check with your friends to connect when you get there. Park your car in the Robin Lake Beach parking lot.

Date: Sunday, November 13, 2016.
Time: You pick. First rides begin around 6:00 pm EST. Departures continue until they run out of riders, usually around 8:30 or so.

Bring: Water. Helmets are suggested for all riders. Georgia law requires bicycle helmets for all riders ages 16 and younger. Bicycle lights are required. Bring a completed waiver form to save time.
Road Conditions: All paved. The course is seven miles of rolling terrain.
