Chip off the ice, sweep out the cobwebs, and pump up your tires. Eacc kicks off another year of fantastic events with the 2nd Annual Tundra Time Trial February 25, 2012 @ 12:00. Everyone is welcome, so come ride or come cheer. The course is a fast and beautiful 10 mile out & back starting at Wire Rd and CR 54. The course goes up 54 to CR 188, continues up 188 turning around just before Loachapoka, and flying home.
Registration opens at 12:00 and the first rider leaves at 1pm.
For those who haven't time trialed this is a race between you and the clock. Riders are released at one minute intervals and race solo across the course. Your clock stops when you cross the finish line. This is a fabulous way to see how you've faired this winter, and sets a benchmark for the rest of the year.
As with past eacc time trials the event is free to all eacc members, otherwise its $5/rider for insurance. If you haven't already go ahead and join eacc ($20/person or $30/family) to support your local cycling club. Forms will be available at the time trial or here. It'll cover the Tundra Time Trial, the summer Tuesday Night Time Trail series, as well as discounts by club sponsors (such as Golden's bike shop, Southern Trails, Mr. Hem, and new for 2012 Big Dog Running Co).
See everyone there,
