Built in the 1800s, the Kymulga Grist Mill is being renovated by the Childersburg community. The Mill and the park around it are a great place for a visit. The Mill is open to explore and the corn meal produced there is the best and freshest I've ever had.
We'll be parking at the Mill. $3 per person includes parking and exploring the Mill and park.
Two ride routes – 22 and 33 miles. Rolling terrain. Beautiful.
Afterwards, brunch at the Alpine Cafe that can't be beat.
Plan to meet at the Mill to start riding at 10:00. That will avoid the hottest part of the day and leave time afterwards to see the Mill and get to the Cafe, which is open 11:00 to 3:00. Drive time to the Mill is about 1.5 hours, so plan to leave Auburn around 8:00 AM.
Date: Sunday, September 9.
Time: Meet at Kymulga Grist Mill around 9:30, ready to ride at 10:00.
Road Conditions: All paved, any bikes/tires will do. 22– and 32– mile options.
Bring: Water. Treasure for parking/admission to the Grist Mill ($3 per person) and brunch at Alpine Cafe.
More information and directions are on our web site.
See you on September 9,
