Location: The start line for the ride is at the Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge in Birmingham, AL. The route will take us through Tuscaloosa, AL, Starkville, MS, and Oxford, MS. We will finish on Sunday afternoon at the Harrah's Hope Lodge in Memphis, TN.
Route: The Cycle the South Hope Ride will take cyclists from Birmingham to Memphis in a four-day tour through three beautiful SEC campuses from June 8 - 11, 2017. Whether you’re a casual rider or an avid cyclist, this ride is for you: Birmingham, AL to Tuscaloosa, AL (University of Alabama), Tuscaloosa to Starkville, MS (Mississippi State), Starkville to Oxford, MS (Ole Miss), and Oxford to Memphis, TN.
Athlete Amenities: This unique ride is fully-supported all along the way. With full mechanic and medical support, SAG wagons, three meals each day, fully stocked water/nutrition stops every 18-20 miles, repair & first aid patrols, transportation back to the start line and overnight stays on beautiful SEC college campuses with dorm lodging!
Registration Fees: The registration fee per rider is a non-refundable $250 which includes food and lodging. This fee does not count toward your fundraising goal. Space is limited. Sign Up Today!
What to Expect: This four day ride travels along a beautiful southern route and stops at three of the most historic SEC campuses. Riders can expect top security and care along the route, clean accommodations with showers and fresh towels and lots of fun along the way!
Fundraising Commitment: We challenge each participant to set a goal of $1,000. We have many tools to help you succeed and will be here to support you along the way. However, we do require that you commit to raising $1,000 in order to ride. We will charge your credit card if you do not meet your fundraising minimum prior to the event.
Fundraising Deadline: All fundraising money, including matching gifts, must be postmarked on or before June 7, 2017 to qualify for awards, prizes and team/individual rankings.
